Adept Ink + Pixel

I am a 30 year old photographer that grew out of digital design, graphic design, and traditional arts.

I was drawing from the moment I could pick up a crayon. From an early age I learned and studied art with a passion. The word passion has always been something I strive for. I love to be passionate about
my craft, my wife, my faith, and my life.

I was married on September 19^th, 2009 to a beautiful woman (Dionna) who has encouraged me to strive to be the best in my passion.

Zoe + Griffin :: The Family ::

When I was 4 my father enrolled me into soccer. It was one of the most significant events of my life. I played soccer for the next 14 years, but my story is not the important part to this. Rather the story of Jason Mack, my best friend for over 26 years. See when I was 4, Jason was 5. I’m 30 now… so you can guess his age.

Jason has always been the guy that you knew was gonna make a perfect dad. So when the time came that Jason had two beautiful children with his wife Vanessa I jumped at the opportunity to take pics! I love Zoe and Griffin. These guys are always there with a smile, behaved, and loved by both their mom and dad. Of course Jason and Vanessa didn’t want to get into any of the pictures, but I am so blessed that I could capture these portraits.

To my best friend and his beautiful bride – You’re kids are amazing! Thank you for letting me capture that on digital film!

Shyla + Jackson :: The Family ::

Washington Park is full of nooks and crannies that I have seriously never seen before. In fact I told Shyla to meet me at the swing set, and we ended up going to different swing sets. It was a great mistake! Jackson is one of the most well behaved children I have ever seen. He and his mom made for a wonderful shoot. They made my job easy.

Jackson – I know you can’t read this yet, but I hope that one day you can look back and see just how much love your mother has for you. I know you feel it, see it and experience it every day, but there is something special that is captured on camera when you mom looks at you. She is proud, protective, loving, caring, and someone who knows what a perfect man you will become one day.

I say it a lot (if you read the other posts) but it is always an honor to be capturing such moments. Thanks again for the fun times guys!!

Alysse + Alex :: The Wedding ::

This summer had been amazing. I have gotten to shoot with some phenomenal photographers as a second shooter. My pholosiphy on second shooting is I, first and foremost, take care of the primary photographer. Making their life easier is why a second shooter is there for. Second, I get to explore my creative avenue. I can make my photos modern, contemporary, play with colors, dance with light. It’s amazing the photos that spring to life when creativeity wins over pressure.

It’s a good leasson for me to learn when I am the primary photographer, to act like a second shooter.

Alysse and Alex was one of those second shooter weddings I had done. My friend Nicole Sweeney of Timeless Grace Photography has been helping me out in my weddings this year, and in turn I have helped her out with hers. This wedding was one I got to flex my creative muscles, not only through the lens, but also in photoshop and the way I edit pics.
